MY STORY
I remember as a child not having any interest at all in anything vintage or old. I had family members, my aunt, uncle, mother and grandmother, who were avid collectors. But it never interested me, and even when we moved my grandmother out of the 'big' house, as she called it, and she said I could have anything I wanted, I said no thanks. As I have gotten older, things have changed, and I find myself gravitating to the things of old, those things that filled my mother and grandmother's houses.
I ask myself today, why not drink a good wine from a good crystal glass, or set a table with good china and enjoy it! After all, that is what my grandmother did, and she put on the best soirees (her word), dressed in her favourite caftan and was always seated at the head of a large table filled with antique porcelain and silver, that glistened in the candlelight.
I have a display cabinet, but it is filled with books. The good china is for my next dinner party; the rest of my treasures are on this site for others to enjoy.

PS: This is for my family and friends: I am not planning on wearing a caftan anytime soon...
