Burleigh Ware Sunray pattern milk/creamer jug, dating from the Art Deco period. This is the Zenith shape is typical of the art deco style. The Sunray pattern, registered in 1929, is characterised by its stylised depiction of a sunrise or sunset with flying birds, in shades of yellow, orange, and black against a cream-colored background. The handle is angular and features black and red accents, typical of the Art Deco aesthetic. Burleigh Ware, produced by Burgess & Leigh in England, is known for its distinctive and often hand-decorated pottery. The hand-painted number on the base is 4924. Standard printed mark of the 1930s. A beehive surrounded by leaves identifies pre-1940 backstamps. 
Those from 1940 onwards have a much smaller beehive without any leaves. One cup has a crack. Milk Jug 9 x 11 cm, Saucers 12 cm, Cups 8 x 6 cm.
