This pattern has been copied and made by many ceramic companies including Wedgewood which made the Wacol pattern that is marked on the cup of this set. The cake plates are marked with the Solian Ware 'Queens Green' coffee set which was made by Simpsons (Potters) Ltd (the name change in 1944 from Soho Pottery Ltd). The marking suggest that the cake plates are not a match to the cup and saucer, but the patterns are identical. There is crazing and small chips on some of the cup rims.
