Picture a line of ladies under hairdryers in the 1960s, and you are probably looking at something like the Lady Schick Consolette. This portable version that folds into a dome with a carrying handle was also for home use when setting your hair was done before handheld hair dryers became more accessible. Perming in the beauty salon required gentle hair dressing of the whole head without moving the hair too much. Globular hair dryers like this were invented for this purpose. It is injection-moulded plastic for a smooth design and 'contemporary' look. It has not been tested to see if it still works.Closed size 30 x 30 cm.
