Chameleon Ware made by Clews & Co Ltd, Tunstall, Made in England. The style of the mark was introduced around 1935, and the manufacture of Chameleon Ware ceased around 1939. The art glazed pottery was first given the name Chameleon Ware in 1914. The origin of the name is uncertain, but anecdotally, it is said to derive from the changes in the glaze colours during firing. There are various tones of this particular blue glaze, with this set being very much brighter than some others on the market. They have the iconic silver-plated lids. Teapot 25 x 15 cm, Sugar Bowl 15 x 12 cm, Creamer/Milk Jug 12 x 8 x 6 cm.
