Clarice Cliff, ceramic artist (20th century).  The vase has an embossed tree with coloured flowers on a mushroom glaze. This collector's item moves away from the Bizarre to the Romantic Period (1937 - 1938). The vase rests on three feet, an extension in the form of roots of the tree. It is handmade and hand-painted. It is marked No. 990 on the base.
