This lovely, dark green ashtray with a purple hibiscus design on the inside is typical of the William Moorcroft style, characterised by its bold floral motifs. Even though I gave up smoking years ago, this piece deserves a place just to be enjoyed for its beauty. This design was introduced by Walter Moorcroft (William's son) in 1949. This item bears the Moorcroft stamp and is marked 'Made in England' on the base. It has some crazing but otherwise is in good condition. 11 x 2 cm.
