Handmade in South Africa with pattern mark 209. Studio art pottery The Old Pottery Jar made some iconic designs in its day. It was founded by Dutch immigrant Henk Jacob in 1953 in Benoni and closed in 1984. The pottery is all hand thrown and decorated with Italian influences, often in soft browns, blues, creams and rustic colours.15 x 10 x 6.5 cm
