This ceramic mantel vase, circa 1930s, by Spode is a beautiful statement piece. The matte white glaze has a tulip relief design and large, rounded handles. It has Spode's 'Velamour' mark with the embossed number K843 on the base. Spode produced it as part of the new 'Velamour' range introduced in 1932. All the pieces in the range start with the letter K. Many pieces have the white earthenware embossed forms. This large vase is one of the most beautiful pieces in this collection. The inside has some water marks, but the outside is in excellent condition. Spode pottery was 250 years old in 2020, and Spode designs are still being made today.  20 cm x 42 cm.
