It can be said that this interesting plate is vintage twice. The design (Madrid) was produced by the Federal Glass Company and known as depression glass. They were made from 1932-1939. In 1976, they changed the pattern name to Recollection and added to the mould collection. When Federal Glass went bankrupt in 1979, the moulds were sold to Indiana Glass, and subtle changes were made. They were produced by Indiana Glass into the 80s. This is an example of a later pressing of the design because of the spacing of the beaded swag on the curve of the plate. The original 30s designs were closer together. 26 x 26 cm.
